Dear Sisters and Brothers: You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, June 23rd,at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. As we will be having an Initiation, Sister Officers are to wear white gowns. Collation will be provided by Sisters Lisa J. Markarian, P.M., and Joan L.Smith. Thinking of You - Sister Ruth E. Parker is now at Greenbriar Healthcare. Sister Edith C. Holmes is at home and doing very well following knee replacement surgery. Sister Olive E. Bragdon was recently hospitalized with pneumonia and a heart attack. Congratulations to Sister Elsie G. Marshall, P.M., and her husband Lewis on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary on June 12th. Sympathy of the Chapter is extended to Brother Max I. Silber on the passing of his wife, our sister, Edith K. Silber. Sister Edith K. Silber, 53-year member Initiated October 24, 1947 Called Home May 21, 2000 To a place past understanding, God has opened wide the door.
Dues - There are several members who now owe dues for two years. We would appreciate your paying these as soon as possible. To those members who now owe three years' dues, please be aware that our By Laws require that your name be read in open Chapter at the stated meeting in June and proper action taken. Group News - The tradition continues with the election of our Conductress, Sister Joan L. Smith, as President of the Rays of Hope group at their April 22nd formation meeting. She follows in the footsteps of Sister Bonnie L. Spooner, Worthy Matron, who is President of the Pathfinders and Sister Ellen M. Morrill, Associate Matron, who is the President of the Galaxy Voyagers. Also asked to serve the Rays of Hope were Brother Brian J. Smith, P.P., W.P., as Chaplain and Sister Shelley M. Gullett as Ways & Means Chair. Breakfast - The Pledge Group of Nashua Assembly No. 9, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, serves a breakfast at the Temple from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. on the third Sunday of each month. The next breakfast will be held on June 18th. The cost is $4.00, and everyone is invited. Rainbow Pledge Group meets the first Thursday of the month, with the next meeting scheduled for September 7th. Nashua Assembly No. 9, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls - Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. Jillian Maynard, daughter of our Sister Linda A. Maynard and sister of our Sister Bethany L. Maynard, GWA, was installed as Worthy Advisor of Nashua Assembly #9 at their recent Installation of Officers. The next meetings will be June 15th and September 7th. Web Page - Our Sister Judith L. Grand Assembly - New Hampshire Grand Assembly will be held June 30-July 2nd at the Nashua Marriott Hotel, with our own Sister Bethany L.. Maynard presiding as Grand Worthy Advisor. Beverage Tabs continue to be collected by Nashua Assembly for donation to the Shriners' Hospitals. This includes tabs from soda, beer, juice, etc., cans. David's House - Your Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron are still collecting paper goods for David's House. Please bring your contributions to any meeting. Grand Chapter - The "Spirit of America" session
of the Grand Chapter of New Hampshire will be held at the Holiday
Inn & Conference Center in Manchester on August 17-19, 2000.
