Dear Sisters and Brothers:
You are cordially invited
to attend the stated meeting on Friday, September 22nd, 2006
at 7:30pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting
and transacting any business that may legally come before the
Chapter. Sister Officers may wear colored gowns to the meeting.
This will be our annual meeting for the Chapter and Election
of Officers for the 2006-2007 tam. Please join us!
Collation: Under the direction of Sister
Gail F. Brown, assisted by Sisters Nancy J. Molnar and Jackie
Poisson.
Congratulations: Heartfelt congratulations are
extended to our Sister Bonnie L. Carbary, PM who was elected
and installed as New Hampshire's new Worthy Grand Matron, to
Sister Lorraine E. Thompson, PM who was elected and installed
as Associate Grand Matron, to Brother Brian J. Smith PP, who
was elected and installed as Associate Grand Patron; to Brother
David C. Thompson, Jr., PGP who was elected and installed as
Grand Treasurer; to Sister Shelley M. Gullett,PM, who was installed
as Grand Marshal, and to Sister Ruth J. Homes, PM, who was appointed
and installed as Grand Ruth. Sister Linda A. Maynard also served
as a personal page to Sister Bonnie L. Carbury, PM. during the
Grand Chapter Sessions, Thank you to all our members who attended
Grand Chapter this year. As always, Pilgrim had an outstanding
attendance at the sessions.
Congratulations are also extended to Sister B.
Judith Fencer, PGM of Massachusetts, GGCC member and Brother
Frank Fenner, our two newest affiliated members, on the birth
of their new grandson born in August. Cards may be sent to them
at P.O. Box 130, Centerville, MA 02632-0130
Sickness and Distress:
Thoughts and cards are requested for Sister Helen (Gerry) K.
Bemis who had a short stay in the hospital this summer.
NashuaAssembly #9, IORG:
Nashua Assembly of Rainbow girls hold their meetings the fast
and third Thursdays of each month. All OES members are cordially
invited to attend at any time. Please join the girls this month.
They would be delighted to see you.
Rainbow Pledge Group:
Pledge Mom, Sister Sharon M Jackson (598-2682) and the Pledge
girls are actively looking for new members. Please call Mom Sherry
if you know of a girl age 8-11 years old who would like to join.
OES Breakfast to beneft
Rainbow Pledge
The next breakfast will be held on Sunday. September 17",
2006 from 7:30-10:30 AM. Everyone is invited. This is their first
breakfast of the season. All proceeds benefit the activities
of the Pledge girls.
September's Greeters:
Heartfelt thank yous are extended to Sister Susan I. Douglas,
PM and to Sister Pamela G. Williams, PM for being our Hostesses
this month. Your warm smiles and special greetings are appreciated
by all who enter our doors.
Suppers: Sister Jean is looking for help
on the many upcoming suppers scheduled for this fall. Dates are:
9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/11, 10/16, and 10/23. If you can possibly
help on any of these dinners, please call Sister Jean.
Nashua Children's Home
We are still actively seeking donations for these children. Hats,
mittens, and scarves are always very much appreciated. Please
bring your new or handmade items to our chapter meetings so that
the Worthy Matron may deliver them. All monetary gifts for the
children will be given to the home so they may purchase much
needed school supplies.
Supporting Our Troops:
I would also like to say a very special thank you to all who
donated hats and cool ties to our soldiers overseas. Your donated
items were sent to troops in Afghanistan this summer. These gifts
are very much appreciated by our fighting young men and women
who are so far away from home.

From the East
I cannot believe that our summer is already over. How quickly
it all flew by. We prepare now to return to the work of our Order
and our Chapter with this month's annual business meeting and
the elections of officers for the 2006-2007 term. John and I
are looking forward to seeing you all at our September meeting.
