Collation: Under the direction of Sister Jennifer A. Taylor, A.M., assisted by Sister Jacqueline E. Poisson and Brother Norman J. Poisson. Monthly Donations/ARK Service Project: We will be finishing off our Acts of Random Kindness and focusing on our Veterans, Animals, and Children/Youth in our area. There are a lot of children in the Nashua area who need school clothes, shoes, and school supplies, even after school has started. If you could help the teachers out by bringing in glue, paper, sweaters (used but very helpful), pencils, tissues, hand sanitizers, anything you can think that would be useful would be greatly appreciated. The Open Installation of Officers will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 2pm with the following Installing Suite: Installing Grand Chapter Officer Jeffrey L. Brown, WGP Assisting Installing Officer Wayne A. Bartlett, PGP Assisting Installing Officer Gail F. Brown, PM Installing Chaplain Brian J. Smith, PGP Installing Marshal Stacy M. Desrosiers, PM Installing Organist Elizabeth M. Chase, PGM A Luncheon of Corn Chowder and Sandwiches will precede the Installation at 12:00. Tickets are $8.00. Please make reservations with Joan L Smith, PM, Sec. by October 10, 2009. Dues and Assessment: Per our bylaws, at our annual meeting, we will be voting upon the recommendation for our fee for dues for 2010. At our June meeting the finance committee recommended our dues for next year should be $27.00 and our petition fee should be $35. Please come to the Annual meeting to have your voice heard regarding this recommendation, and to vote for the good of our Order. Some members still have not paid their dues for 2009. Please check to see if you have your dues cards in your wallet and if not send the fee into the Secretary as soon as possible. Suppers: Sister Shelley M Gullett PM (533-9028) and Sister Lisa F. Britko PM (888-8533) have a large amount of suppers to staff for the Fall. Congratulations to our members who were recently installed at our Grand Chapter session: Jeffrey L. Brown, Worthy Grand Patron; Shelley M. Gullett, Associate Grand Matron; John W. Jackson, Associate Grand Patron; David C. Thompson, Jr., PGP, Grand Treasurer; and Pamella E. Taylor, Grand Electa; Thanks to all of our members who attended Grand Chapter to support Sister Barbara M. Bona and Brother Harold M. Chase, Jr. and all of the Grand Officers during their Friendship and Unity Nationswide Session. We had excellent attendance this year with many of our members serving as Personal Pages, Grand Pages, and Assistant Grand Sentinels; Congratulations to Sister Jacqueline J. Cole who was appointed Grand Representative to New York in NH at our last meeting; to Sister Allyson J Britko, Sister Jennifer H. Bean , and Sister Natalie A. Prevo for a terrific Grand Assembly IORG session. As we look toward October and November we all anxiously await the arrival of Baby Desrosiers and Baby Brown: Best wishes are sent to those expectant moms Sister Stacy and Sister Gail, and of course to expectant dad -Brother Jeff. Sickness and Distress: Sister Judy A. Porter recently underwent surgery and is now recovering well at home; Sister Joyce E. Brown, PM, was recently hospitalized and is on the mend at present; Brother Gilbert P. Bemis, PP, was recently recuperating at an area Nursing Home and is now at home; Both Sister Jennifer A. Taylor and Sister Phyllis A. Lackie, PM, have scheduled hospital procedures this month and would appreciate well wishes; Sisters Elsie G. Marshall, PM, Charlotte A. Callahan, and Brother David C. Thompson, Jr., PGP, could use some good cheer cards. Sympathy
is extended to Sister Jacqueline J. Cole on the loss of her brother;
Sister Annie L.K. Rice and Brother Abbott E. Rice on the loss
of their son; Sister Joan E. Clark on the loss of her husband;

Rainbow Pledge and Sparkles Group: Do you have daughters or Granddaughters, Nieces or Grand Nieces between the ages of 4-11 years old? The Pledges and Sparkles are actively looking for new members. Please join them at one of their meetings held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 pm. The girls will be participating in the Walktober-fest activities on October 3 and invite all to join in on the fun. As this is the last meeting for Brother
John and I as we preside in the East, we wish to say thank you
to all. It has been a pleasure to get to know each and every
one of our Chapter members. Let us all remember to check on our
shut-ins and always extend the hand of friendship to our Sisters
and Brothers that we meet. you can be completely honest and who understands you just the way you are. A friend is someone to talk to when things are going wrong and who will give support in times of need. Its wonderful to have a friend to have a friend like you. To all the Officers and members of Pilgrim Chapter No.55: May GOD bless each and every one of you.
