You are cordially invited to attend the STATED MEETING on Friday, October 26, 2001, at 5 PM, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Please note change in time. Sister Officers may wear colored gowns to the early meeting, but must wear white gowns for the Open Installation.

Installation Banquet will be held at 6:30 P.M. The cost is $7.50, and paid reservations should be made to our Secretary, Sister Jean C. Sudsbury by October 18, 2001.

Collation: Under the direction of Sister Lisa F.Britko and Committee.

Rehearsal for Installation: will be held on Sunday, October 21st at 6:30 P.M. All outgoing and incoming officers are requested to attend. A Pot Luck supper will be held at 5:30 P.M. Please call Sister Joan @ 888-8091 to confirm what is being brought.

Congratulations: to our Sister Susan I. Douglas, Grand Marshal, who was Installing Grand Marshal in Silverhill -Vesta # 59 , Bradford and in Puritan-Charity-Themis-Atlantic #29, Milford; and to Sister Stacy M. Desrosiers who was Installing Chaplain in Orient #22, Exeter. Also to our Sister Elizabeth McPhee and her husband Edward on their 50th wedding anniversary October 6th, 2001.

Sympathy: To Sister Barbara F. Baudot in the loss of her mother and Sister Marion F. Duncan, P.M., in the loss of her brother.

Mitten Tree : Please bring your yarn and knitted goods in for Sister Valerie.
Shriner Clown Pins: See Sister Susan I. Douglas, PM for your pins - 6 designs, - this is a General Grand Chapter project that she is representing. They cost $5.00 each, and benefit the Shrine Hospitals, our special project this year as well.

From the East - It is with great joy and some sadness that John and I leave the East - JOY in knowing that our legacy will be carried on in the most capable of hands, JOY that we have completed the tasks we set for ourselves one year ago, JOY from the fun we've had working with the wonderful set of officers we had, and JOY in seeing so many inactive members come back to sit with us, and then come again to enjoy the fun! We have always maintained, If It Ain't Fun, We Ain't Gonna Do It (IIAFWAGDI!)

The SADNESS is in knowing that now that we know how much fun being in the East is, and how there is always someone to lighten the burdens of active duty - the Past Matrons and Patrons in particular, our term is all done. We will stand ready to help our successors in any way we can - Enjoy , 2001-2002 Officers!! We ALL stand ready to love and support you in your new year.
