Taylor October 2009 Dear Sisters and Brothers: You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 7:30pm , for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Sister Officers must wear white gowns. We will be having initiation done by our Past Matrons and Past Patrons at this meeting. Collation Under the direction of Sistter Lois A. Taylor, A.M.., assisted by Sisters Judy A. Porter and Jacqueline E Poisson and Brother Norman J. Poisson. Congratulations: Congratulations to all those Pilgrim Chapter members participating in Installations, both as Installing Suite Officers and being installed into elected and appointed offices in other Chapters around this state. We are so very proud of your dedication to the Order! Sickness and Distress: Sisters Phyllis A. Lackie P.M., Jennifer A. Taylor, and Brother David C. Thompson, Jr PGP, GGCCM are still recuperating at home after recent surgeries. Sisters Edith J. Holmes, Elsie G. Marshall PM, Patricia W. Hills, PGM, Grand Secretary Emeritus, and Brothers Gilbert P. Bemis P.P. and Richard G. Tenney P.P. could always use some good cheer cards. Annual Meeting: At our recent Annual Meeting the Chapter members voted to increase the 2010 dues with per capita fee to $27.00 per person. Starting in 2010 those members who achieve 50 year member status will have their dues remitted however they will be asked to pay for their per capita fee ( presently $5.00). Any members who already have 50 year status prior to 2010 will be grandfathered and will not be required to pay the per capita fee. Brother Robert M. Porter, Jr. P.P. was elected to serve on the finance committee for the next three year term. Nashua Assembly #9 I.O.R.G.: Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 pm. OES members are encouraged to attend any event. The next meetings are October 15th, November 5th and 19th at 7pm . The girls welcomed four new members into the Order this month! Rainbow Pledge Group: The pledges girls are actively looking for new members! Please call Sisters Sharon M. Jackson, P.M., Pledge Mom at 603-598-2682 or Sister Stacy M. Desrosiers P.M. at 579-0519 if you know of a girl between 6 & 11 years old who would like to join. Our Sparkles- a group for girls age 4-6 years old- also meet at that time. OES Breakfast to benefit Pledge Girls: The next breakfast will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2008 from 7:30 - 10:30 am . Cost is$7.00. Everyone is invited. All proceeds will go towards the activities of the pledge girls. Directory: The new edition of the 2009 Nashua Masonic Family Directory is now available at a bargain price of $3.00. Taylor is selling embroidered Polo Shirts with the OES emblem and Pilgrim Chapter #55. The cost of these shirts is $20.00. From the East: Autumn Greetings from both Jeff and I. We would both like to thank the members of Pilgrim Chapter in electing us as your next Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron. We would like to thank John and Sherry Jackson for their hard work and friendship this past year. They have done a wonderful job and we thank them for their support of Pilgrim Chapter. As family is our theme for our term we will be strengthening our fraternal bond as well as working with the Muscular Dystrophy Association as our charity.
