May 2010 Dear Sisters and Brothers: You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, May 28, 2009 at 7:30pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, initiation, and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Sister Officers please wear white gowns as there will be initiatory work this evening. Collation Under the Taylor, A.M., assisted by Sisters Judy A. Porter and Jacqueline E. Poisson and Brother Norman J. Poisson. Advanced notice: At our June 25 meeting we will be honoring our Past Matrons and Past Patrons, and honoring our 25, 50, and 60 year members. We would be very pleased to welcome all to this special recognition night. We will also be collecting items to donate such as wash clothes, bandaids, toothbrushes, hair combs/brushes etc for Health Kits for Haiti Relief: Childrens Needs, a service project ongoing at the First Baptist Church in Hudson. Sickness and Distress: Sister Jeannette L. Healey, P.M., was in the hospital recently and could use well wishes; Sister Trudy Marshall, P.M., is recuperating after recent surgery; Brother Henry L. Brown, P.P., was recently hospitalized and is at home now; Brother Richard I. Poole, P.G.P., was recently in the hospital for surgery and has been moved to Greenbriar for rehabilitation; Sisters Elaine Strand, Susan I. Douglas, P.M., Josephine Millett, Ellen Winters, Marion F. Duncan, P.M., and Brother Abbott Rice could use cards, visits, and calls. Please continue to keep all our shut-ins in our thoughts and prayers. Congratulations to Sister Lisa K Hollis, P.M., who was recently installed as Worthy Matron at Ida McKinley Chapter; to Brothers Gerald K. Classon and David B. Molnar who were both recently installed for a second term in their respective Blue Lodges; to Brother Jeffrey L. Brown, W.G.P., who received the DeMolay Legion of Honor in March; to all our Sisters and Brothers who have recently taken part in their visitations in their respective dual membership Chapters, and other Chapters around the state: Thank you for all you do. At our last meeting Sister Jenny thanked all the Workerbees who work for our fraternal organizations, for together, with everyones effort, we achieve more. Nashua Assembly #9 I.O.R.G.: Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 pm. The next meetings are May 20 and June 3.. On May 21, from 6-8pm, the Sister of Hope Miss Carolyn Gallaher, daughter of Sister Claire Keller and Brother Al Wattam will be having a Spaghetti Supper, all proceeds to benefit Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. An Open Installation of Officers, with Miss Victoria Markarian ascending to the East as Worthy Advisor, is scheduled for June 12th at 10am. She is the daughter of Sister Lisa J.M. Proulx, P.M., and Brother Kurt M. Markarian. All are welcome to attend these events. Rainbow Pledge Group: The pledges girls are actively looking for new members! Please call Sisters Sharon M. Jackson, P.M., State Pledge Coordinator at 603-598-2682 or Sister Stacy M. Desrosiers, P.M., Pledge Mom at 579-0519 if you know of a girl between 6 & 11 years old who would like to join. Our Sparkles, a group for girls age 4-6 years old, also meet at that time. The Rainbow and Pledge group will be placing flags on the Veterans graves at Edgewood Cemetery on May 29 starting at 9am, and will be picking them up on June 5 at 9am. Anyone who wishes to assist are invited to attend. Polo Shirts: Sister Lois A. Taylor is selling embroidered Polo Shirts with the OES emblem and Pilgrim Chapter #55. From the East: I want to personally thank EVERYONE who was able to help and participate in our fundraiser for the MDA.
