Pilgrim Chapter No. 55 Order of the Eastern Star Include List

May 2009

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, May 22nd, 2009 at 7:30 pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. We will be having an Initiation. Sister Officers must wear white gowns.

Collation - is under the direction of Sister Jennifer Taylor, AM, assisted by Sister Jacqueline E. Poisson, Sister Judy A. Porter, and Brother Norman J. Poisson.

Monthly Donations/ARK Service Project: We need to fill the ARK! There will be a box for ARK donations of can goods, non perishable items, toiletries, paper goods and anything you might think that an ARK needs for the summer months. These items will be given to Pastoral Care Center, Mary's House, and anyone else in need. This box will be out for both the May and June meetings. In September the ARK will need school supplies for the children in our area. There are many people in this community that are needing help these days. Thank you for the doggie supplies last month. They all say 'WOOF WOOF'.

Members of Pilgrim Chapter will be assisting Nashua Rainbow and Pledge in placing Flags on gravesites at Edgewood Cemetery, Amherst St. in Nashua on May 23rd. They also could use help removing them on May 30th. Both times to arrive on those Saturdays are at 9am, and it only takes about one hour to perform this service to honor our fallen soldiers. All are invited to assist!

Sickness and Distress: David C. Thompson, Jr. PGP, GGCCM is still recuperating from surgery. Brother Hal Chase WGP has been in and out of the hospital recently and continues to need our prayers.

From the East:
This is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Be glad of life, because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars; to think often of your friends, and every day of Christ; and to spend as much time as you can, with body and with spirit, in God's out-of-doors. These are the little guideposts on the footpath to peace.
With much fraternal love,
