June 2007 Dear Sisters and Brothers: You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 7:30pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Sister Officers may wear summer dresses to the meeting; Brothers may wear slacks and collared shirts (ties are optional). Please note, there will be a special meeting on August 3rd at 7:30pm for the purpose of conferring the degrees (pending candidate's election to membership). Collation - Collation is under the direction of Sister Lisa K. Hollis, A.M., assisted by Sisters Nancy J. Molnar and Jacqueline E. Poisson. Congratulations - Congratulations are extended to Brothers C. Wayne Libby Jr. and Larry D. Gullett who were respectively installed as the as the Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master and the Right Worshipful District Deputy Grand Lecturer of the 2nd Masonic District, of the Grand Lodge of NH. Congratulations are also extended to Sisters Allison E. Smith and Ashley E. Steele who recently graduated from Franklin Pierce College. Sympathy - The sympathy of the chapter is extended to Sister Nancy J. Molnar on the loss of her mother, our Sister Marjorie O'Neal and to Sister Sally A. Groves on the loss of her mother, our Sister Marion E. "Betty" Stultz. Initiated: May 26, 1961 Passed away: May 18, 2007 A 46 year member Initiated: October 24, 1947 Passed away: May 24, 2007 A 51 year member "A memory is a keepsake of time that lives forever in the heart." Cookbook - What's your favorite recipe??? Please share it with us for our Chapter Cookbook. Recipes may be given to Sister Gail, or entered online at www.typensave.com. Advertising space is available at the following rates: Full Page ad: $60, Half Page ad: $35, Quarter Page ad: $20, 1/6 page ad: $15, Name listing: $5. Cookbooks are being pre-sold for $10 each. Please contact Sister Gail with recipes, orders, or any questions and help to make this a successful fundraiser for our chapter. Nashua Assembly #9, IORG - Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00pm. All Eastern Star members are welcome to attend any Rainbow meeting or event. The next meeting will be on Thursday, June 21, 2007, and the girls will be initiating a new member. Also, our Sister, Ashley E. Steele will have her Official Homecoming to Nashua Assembly on June 24th. Please come and support our future! Rainbow Pledge Group - The Pledge girls are actively looking for new members! Please call Sister Sharon M. Jackson, Pledge Mom at 598-2682 if you know of a girl between 8 & 11 years old who would like to join. OES Breakfast to benefit Rainbow Pledge - The next breakfast will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2007 from 7:30-10:30am for a $6 donation. Everyone is invited, and all proceeds go toward the activities of the Pledge girls.
From the East - It hardly seems possible that summer is here. Enjoy the beauty of the flowers, and the abundance of the garden. Take advantage of the long days of summer to sit with an old friend and enjoy a tall, cold glass of lemonade. Even though the summer can be a busy time, we hope that many of you will have the opportunity to join with us during some of the summer events.
