Dear Sisters and Brothers:

You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 7:30 pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Sister Of.cers may wear colored gowns to the meeting.

Collation – Under the direction of Sister Sharon M. Jackson, A.M., assisted by Sisters Nancy J. Molnar and Jacqueline E. Poisson.

Congratulations are extended to the officers and members of Nashua Assembly #9, IORG on their recent Installation of Offcers. And congratulations to the following Sisters and Brothers who were installed as Advisory Board members; Lisa J. Proulx, P.M. Grand Adah, serving as Mother Advisor, Robert S. Bean, Deb Bean, Lisa F. Britko, P.M. D.G.M., Gail F. Brown, P.M., Jeffrey L. Brown, P.P. G.S., Larry D. Gullett, P.P., Shelley M. Gullett, P.M. A.G.C., Ruth J. Holmes, P.M., John W. Jackson, P.P., Phyllis A. Lackie, P.M., Leslee E. Steele, Cindy Stephens, and Deb Wall. Sharon M. Jackson, A.M., Joan L. Smith, P.M., and Lisa K. Hollis, W.M. are serving on the board ex-of.cio. Congratulations also to our newest members Sister Jennifer H. Bean, Sister Kelly M. Bemis, and Brother Gerard J. Plamondon. We also congratulate Sister Jean C. Sudsbury, P.M. on her appointment as Grand Representative of California in NH, and Sister Lisa K. Hollis, W.M. on her appointment as Grand Representative of Wyoming in NH.

Sickness and Distress – Sister Sue Whitney, P.M. recently had hip replacement surgery. She
is currently at Greenbriar Rehab Facility. Sister Katherine (Jo) Drown, P.M. fell and broke her
elbow. She is recuperating at home. Cards and calls would be much appreciated.

Brother David H. Henry, Phyllis’ husband, and
Brother Michael S. Henry, her son.

Sympathy is also extended our Sister Heidi J. Schmelzer, P.M. on the loss of her mother, Jean.

Shut-in List Update – Sister Patricia W. Hills, P.G.M. has been transferred to the Laurel Center,
480 Donald Street #107W, Bedford, NH 03110-5945. Also, Sister Helen M. Coronis, P.M. has
been moved to Greenbriar Terrace in Nashua.

Monthly Donation – We will be collecting health and personal hygiene items at the January
meeting to be donated to the Anna Marie House. There will be a collection box outside the chapter room prior to the meeting. Thank you to all those who brought in coats for the Salvation
Army. We really appreciate your help!

Scholarships - Information has been received on available scholarships for Eastern Star dependents attending two and four year colleges or who are attending technical schools. All letters requesting consideration for the Grand Chapter Educational Scholarships must be received by our secretary prior to the opening of our February meeting. During the business of that meeting we will select one person to sponsor, who will then be eligible to submit an application to the Grand Chapter Scholarship Committee.

There is also a scholarship available for students enrolled in religious training. This scholarship (ESTARL) does not require OES affiliation. For further information on any of these scholarships, contact our Secretary.

Nashua Assembly #9, IORG – Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 pm. OES members are encouraged to attend any Rainbow meeting or event. The next meeting will be on Thursday, January 17, 2008. Please come and support our future!

Rainbow Pledge Group - The Pledge girls are actively looking for new members! Please call Sister Sharon M. Jackson, Pledge Mom at 598- 2682 if you know of a girl between 8 & 11 years old who would like to join.

OES Breakfast to benefit Rainbow Pledge The next breakfast will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 7:30-10:30 am. Cost is $6.00. Everyone is invited. All proceeds will go towards the activities of the Pledge girls.
