February 2004 Dear Sisters and Brothers: You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, February 27, 2004 at 5pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Please note the time change. Sister Officers may wear colored gowns to the early meeting, but must wear white gowns for the Visitation. Dinner will be served at 6:15pm, tickets are $8.00 per person and reservations must be made with the Secretary, Jean C Sudsbury, PM, by February 20, 2004. A Reception to honor Sister Bonnie L Carbary, Associate Grand Conductress, and Brother Brian J Smith, Grand Chaplain will begin at 7:15pm. Our Official Visitation by Sister Jane J Sims, Worthy Grand Matron, accompanied by Brother Levi M Johnston, Worthy Grand Patron, and assisted by Sister Lorraine E Thompson, Grand Marshal, will begin at 8pm. Host and Hostess for the evening will be Brian J Smith, Grand Chaplain, and Bonnie L Carbary, Associate Grand Conductress. Collation - Under the direction of Sister Shelley M Gullett, AM, assisted by Sisters Jackie Poisson and Nancy Molnar and the Past Matrons and Patrons Association. Sympathy - Is extended to Sister Eva E Simard, PM, on the death of her brother. Thinking of You - Sister Gail W Heinbach, PM, who fell recently and broke her arm and to Sister Patricia W. Hills, PGM, who is recovering from recent surgery. Congratulations to Brother Robert A Baer, who was recently installed as Worshipful Master and Brother David H Henry who was installed as Tyler of Ancient York Lodge #89 AF & AM. We were also honored to have Sister Susan I Douglas, PM, serve as Esther at the NH / Massachusetts Exchange in Massachusetts in January. Welcome to our new Sister Eileen M Jackson who affiliated with Pilgrim Chapter in January. Huggables - Please bring new stuffed animals with you to our February meeting for the Grand Escort's project. Their collection of stuffed animals will be taken to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital to be given to the young patients before undergoing any treatment. Pilgrim Chapter Official Visitation - Please join us for the Official Visitation of the Worthy Grand Matron, Sister Jane J Sims, accompanied by Brother Levi M Johnston, Worthy Grand Patron, and assisted by Sister Lorraine E Thompson, Grand Marshal, on February 27, 2004. The early business meeting will begin at 5pm followed by dinner at 6:15pm and the visitation at 8pm. In addition, we will be honoring our Grand Officers, Sister Bonnie L Carbary, Associate Grand Conductress, and Brother Brian J Smith, Grand Chaplain, at a special reception beginning at 7:15pm. Please make dinner reservations with our Secretary, Sister Jean C Sudsbury, PM, by February 20th. Items for the Masonic Home - As mentioned at our January meeting, we will be collecting items for the residents at the Masonic home at our February meeting. We will bring those items to the residents in March. The items that have been requested but are not limited to: postage stamps, note paper, special occasion cards, combs, emery boards, sugar-free candy, and tissues. Nashua Assembly #9, IORG- The Rainbow Girls meet next on February 19th and March 4th at 7pm. The girls are always excited to have their Eastern Star members visit them at any of their meetings or activities. For more information, please contact Sister Donna L Betz, Mother Advisor, to see how you can become more involved. Rainbow Pledge Group-Pledge Mom, Sister Sherry M. Jackson (598-2682) and the Pledge girls are actively looking for new members. Please call Mom Sherry if you know of a girl age 8-11 years old who would like to join. OES Breakfast to benefit Rainbow Pledge-The next breakfast will be held on Sunday, February 15th, from 7:30-11 a.m. Everyone is invited. All proceeds go to the Pledge Girls' projects.
