February 2009 Monthly Donation/ ARK Service Project- This month's ARK is needed for so many doggies. Dogs are left in homes and apartments, along the side of many highways or dark roads. They need our help. So many adults still love their pet, but cannot afford to feed and keep it warm. With all this cold weather their lives are threatened and they can be so frightened and depressed. Please help these loving companions this month. Pet Beds, sweaters, food, and prayers can all help them until a good home can be found for them soon. As always, do not hesitate to call Sister Sherry Jackson if you know of a lonely little doggie out there in the cold needing shelter. Shut ins- The
Worthy Matron is currently seeking help to visit our many shut
ins. They do so look forward to seeing us, and we do not want
to forget anyone! Please call Sister Sherry at 598-2682 if you
can help out! Congratulations are extended to Brother David B. Molnar who was installed as Worshipful Master of Rising Sun Lodge #39 F&AM, and Sister Natalie Prevo who was installed as Worthy Advisor of Nashua Assembly #9 IORG. Pilgrim Chapter #55 is very proud of you both. Welcome to Sister Donna L. Turner, and Brother Brian C.Turner who were initiated on January 3rd at our Grand Family Exchange, and Sister Mary S. Yannetti, Sister Nora Hunt, and Brother David O. Hunt who were initiated at our stated meeting in January by the Grand Family of NH O.E.S. We hope you have many fun filled moments and wonderful memories as members of our Chapter. 2009 Dues and Assessment are due. Per our December Bulletin, our 2009 dues are $25.00, and the Assessment fee is $10.00. This assessment fee represents what the Chapter is being assessed by the Masonic Building Association to establish a 'building repair fund' to finish much needed repairs as required by the city. This fee is being assessed also on members of each Masonic body which meets at our Temple. Our first payment of this fee is due the Building Association on March 1st, so it is imperative that everyone get their dues and assessment fees into the Chapter Secretary in a timely manner. 2009 Visitation- March 27th is Pilgrim Chapters Official Visitation by the WGM. In preparation for this event we hope many people will bring in Huggables (new stuffed animals with tags still on) and Salute the Troop items to the next two meetings. It would be wonderful to see the room fully decorated with those Huggables that go to the children in need of a special hug! The officers will be having rehearsals for Visitation on February 22 at 5pm, March 8 and March 22 at 6pm. Scholarships- There are Educational scholarships for Eastern Star members and their family available through NH Grand Chapter. If anyone is interested in seeking an application form please contact the Chapter Secretary who can guide you through the process. Suppers- Sister Shelley Gullett and the supper crew are now in full swing with many suppers to man. She still needs help on the following suppers: April 6, April 13, and April 21. If you can assist at any of these upcoming suppers please call Sister Shelley at 533-9028. Nashua Assembly #9. IORG meet on the first and third Thursday of each month.
Their next meetings are February 19th and March 5th at 7:00
pm. If you know of a girl between 11& 20 who would like to
join please contact Sister Lisa J. Proulx, Mother Advisor, at
673-2452. OES Visionquest event- Join New Hampshire and Vermont Eastern Star jurisdictions at a positive gathering of the minds- as we learn more about improving membership in our own Order, improving our interactions with the rest of our Masonic Community, and how to plan for the future of the Order of the Eastern Star in our states. The event will be held on Saturday February 21st at the UCC Church in Bradford Vt. Anyone wishing to attend please contact Brother Brian Smith PGP, Special Appt.Visionquest at 888-0891 or brijsmith@aol.com.
Coming Events-
From the East: Friendship is surely one of life's special
miracles. When two people are united in friendship's spirit,
the relationship assumes special light and life-giving qualities
unlike any other. Friendships give richness to like and promise
to the future. God always keeps his promise. With much fraternal love,
