Pilgrim Chapter No. 55 Order of the Eastern Star Include List

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 7:30 pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Sister Officers may wear colored gowns to the meeting. Some of our New Hampshire Rainbow Girls will be putting on a program for us at the meeting, under the direction of our Sister Tracey L. Thompson.

Collation – Under the direction of Sister Sharon M. Jackson, A.M., assisted by Sisters Nancy J. Molnar and Jacqueline E. Poisson.

Congratulations are extended to Congratulations to our Brothers who were recently installed as officers of Ancient York Lodge #39; Michael S. Henry as Jr. Warden and Kevin J. Carter as Sr. Deacon. Congratulations also to Robert Bianchi who served on the Installing Suite on January 12, 2008.

Sympathy of the Chapter is extended to Sister Phyllis A. Lackie, PM, on the loss of her sister.

Sickness and Distress – Sister Judy Trest, PM, recently underwent surgery to repair a hole in her heart. She is home and doing very well! Sister Jean Sudsbury, PM, had surgery to repair her damaged elbow. She is home and healing nicely. Sister Sandra M. Libby underwent a procedure on her knee and is recuperating well at home. Brothers Herb Hutchinson and David C. Thompson, GGCCM, PGP, will both be undergoing hip replacement surgeries in February. Please keep them in your thoughts.

Monthly Donation – We will be collecting paper towels, bleach, hand sanitizer, and towels at the February meeting to be donated to the Humane Society. There will be a collection box outside the chapter room prior to the meeting. Thank you to all those who brought in items for Anna Marie House. I was told they really appreciated them!

Scholarships – Information has been received on available scholarships for Eastern Star dependents attending two- or four-year colleges, or who are attending technical schools. All letters requesting consideration for the Grand Chapter Educational Scholarships must be received by our Secretary prior to the opening of our February meeting. During the business of that meeting we will select one person to sponsor, who will then be eligible to submit an application to the Grand Chapter Scholarship Committee. There is also a scholarship available for students enrolled in religious training. This scholarship (ESTARL) does not require OES affiliation. For further information on any of these scholarships, contact our Secretary.

Nashua Assembly #9, IORG – Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 pm. OES members are encouraged to attend any Rainbow meeting or event. The next meetings will be on Thursday, February 7 & 21, 2008. Please come and support our future! Rainbow Pledge Group – The Pledge girls are actively looking for new members! Please call Sister Sharon M. Jackson, Pledge Mom at 598- 2682 if you know of a girl between 8 & 11 years old who would like to join.

OES Breakfast to benefit Rainbow Pledge The next breakfast will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2008 from 7:30-10:30 am. Cost is $6.00. Everyone is invited. All proceeds will go towards the activities of the Pledge girls.

Nashua Masonic Directory - The Nashua Masonic Directory is available for $2 per copy. Please contact Sister Lisa J. Proulx, P.M. Grand Adah, at 673-2452 to obtain a copy.

From the East I encourage you all to attend our February meeting and see our New Hampshire Rainbow Girls perform a beautiful degree for us. Our Visitation is also fast approaching and I trust you have all been reviewing your ritual so we can give our members and visitors a memorable evening.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all! In this time of showing our sweethearts how much we love them, let us not forget those members who we have not seen in a long time.
