Dear Sisters and Brothers: December 2001

You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday. December 28, 2001 at 7:30 PM, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, initiation, and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Sister Officers please wear white gowns.

There will be a Holiday Party with a Yankee Swap after the meeting. Brothers and sisters are asked to bring a wrapped gift, no more than $5, to exchange.

Host/Hostess: for the evening will be Sister Patricia W. Hills, P.G.M. Grand Secretary Emeritus, and Sister Trudy A. Marshall, P. M.

Collation: Under the direction of Sister Lisa F. Britko, assisted by Sisters Jackie Poisson and Nancy Molnar. December food sponsors are Sisters Katherine M. Flores-Andosca, Deborah K. Bartol, and Nancy B. Kime. .

Thinking of you: Sister Gladys Will P.M. is now a resident at the Masonic home and would dearly enjoy cards and letters. Sister Edith Holmes is recuperating at home after a fall in which she fractured her arm. Sister Patricia B. Anthony P.M. has recently been ill at her home. Sister V.Irene Prevost P.M. is still feeling a little 'under the weather' at home. Please keep them all in your prayers and get-well thoughts.

Of interest we have heard from Brother Bill and Sister Gayle Lowell, who are now living in Shenyang, China, where Sister Gayle is working in the Foreign Service.

Food Pantry Collection: Please bring non-perishable food items, paper goods, school supplies, and toiletries to be donated to the Nashua Pastoral Care Center.
December's food item is Tuna fish. This will be an ongoing service project of Sister Joan and Brother Brian.

Cancelled Postage Stamps: Sister Charlotte Callahan continues to collect cancelled stamps from envelopes to benefit the MS Society. Bring in a baggie full for her at the next meeting.

Mitten Tree: If you knit or have yarn to donate, please bring items to the meetings for Sister Valerie Sonner.

Nashua Assembly #9, IORG Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 PM. The next meetings will be Thursday, December 20th and January 3rd. Pilgrim Chapter recently made a visit to see the girls in action doing their initiatory work. The girls, as usual, did a fine job!

The Rainbow girls are having a special collection of Used Eyeglasses for the Lion's Club, a special charity of the Grand Worthy Advisor, Miss Kelli-Ann Morrison. There is a pink collection box on the cabinet in the main foyer- 3rd floor- to place glasses in. All contributions are greatly appreciated.

Rainbow Pledge Group meets the first Thursday of the month at 7 PM under the direction of Pledge Mom Sister Sherry Jackson. There next meeting is January 3rd. They are always looking for new members. If you know of any girl age 8-11 who would be interested in attending these meetings that are open to the public, bring them along and introduce them to our lively group of girls.

Public Breakfast-The next breakfast will be held on Sunday, December 16th and the special this month is Larry's Biscuits and Gravy. The donation is $4.00, and everyone is invited. All proceeds go to the Pledge girls for their projects.

Rising Sun #39 is having a Holiday Party Dec 15th from 2-4pm. The entire Masonic family is invited. There will be snacks and rumor has it Santa may even show up. If you are bringing a child, we ask that you also bring a gift with their name on it for Santa to distribute. It asked to limit this gift cost to $10.00.
