Pilgrim Chapter No. 55 Order of the Eastern Star Include List

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

You are cordially invited to attend the stated meeting on Friday, April 23, 2004 at 7:30pm, for the purpose of receiving petitions, balloting, initiation and transacting any business that may legally come before the Chapter. Sister Officers must wear white gowns. We will be honoring the Star Point Esther with a short program. Please join us!

Collation - Under the direction of Sister Shelley M Gullett, AM, assisted by Sisters Jackie Poisson and Nancy Molnar.

Sympathy - Is extended to Brother Raymond R Russell Sr and Sister Jean Russell on the death of their daughter, Brother Raymond R Russell Jr and Sister Kristen J Ricard on the death of their sister.

Thinking of You - Sister Sharon M Jackson who is recovering from a TIA, Brother John W Jackson, WP, and Sister Ellen M Morrill, PM, who both had eye surgery recently, Sister Marion Duncan, PM, who is still recovering from a broken wrist and shoulder, and Sister Mary Buxton who is recovering from a recent stroke.

Congratulations to Brother Richard I Poole, Sr, PGP who was recently installed as Worthy Patron in Richmond Chapter #463 in Hephzibah, GA. Sister Susan I Douglas, PM, served as Installing Marshall at Palestine Chapter #114 in Newtonville, MA. In addition, we had a number of our members substitute at the Official Visitation at Orient Chapter in Exeter: Sisters Shelley M Gullett as Ruth, Lisa K Hollis as Martha, and Joan L Smith, PM, as Electa.

Can Food Drive - As stated at our last meeting, we will be collecting canned food or other non-perishable food items to be given to local food agencies in our community. Please bring items to our April meeting.

Ritual Survey - Thank you to everyone who spoke during our discussion regarding the ritual survey from General Grand Chapter at our last meeting. I encourage everyone to take the time and submit the survey so the leaders of our Order will make decisions in line with the wishes of the membership.

Huggables - Thank you again to those that brought in Huggables to our last meeting. We will continue collecting them throughout the rest of the term.

Nashua Assembly #9, IORG- The Rainbow Girls meet next on April 15th beginning at 6:30pm. The girls will be performing the initiatory degree and all Eastern Star members are encouraged to attend. The members of Pilgrim Chapter will make an official visit to the Rainbow Assembly on May 6th. The meeting will begin at 7pm followed by a pound auction. Also, the girls are collecting items for the Shriners Hospital, which is the charity of the Grand Worthy Advisor, and will be doing a "Flamingo Invasion" project to support the efforts of the Assembly. More information is available on all of these projects by contacting Sister Donna L Betz, Mother Advisor.

Rainbow Reunion - The NH Rainbow Majority Association is planning a special Reunion Celebration this summer. If you are a majority member, former advisor, or know someone who was, please contact Stacy M Desrosiers, WM. We will be sending out a mailing this spring. More information will be coming soon.

Rainbow Pledge Group - Pledge Mom, Sister Sherry M. Jackson (598-2682) and the Pledge girls are actively looking for new members. Please call Mom Sherry if you know of a girl age 8-11 years old who would like to join.

OES Breakfast to benefit Rainbow Pledge - The next breakfast will be held on Sunday, April 18th, from 7:30-11 a.m. Everyone is invited. All proceeds this month go toward the Eastern Star Youth Committee.
